Meh. Ideal if you desperately need multiple rooms but overpriced for the quality of overall stay.

Ideal for families with multiple rooms in the lodge, stair gates available to keep our toddler safe and an onsite pool.

The rooms felt dated and had an unpleasant damp, fusty smell. Several towels which were apparently clean had questionable stains on them including one which was clearly blood. I wasnt convinced that it was cleaned well at all and also found a shard of glass in the dishwasher cutlery holder.

Excellent Stay

Excellent location. We booked a hotel room for one night as it was just the two of us. The room was very comfortable and clean. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant and the staff were very friendly. The Lounge area is relaxing and has a great bar with a great selection of drinks.

Lovely,festive, relaxing trip to meet up with family before Christmas.

Beautiful, well equipped, very comfortable lodge, plenty of space for 7 of us. The leisure centre was great for a quick visit before settling in to cook in our self catering lodge and catch up with family for the evening. The hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas and had a great programme of events for families.

Lodge would have been perfectly festive if some Christmas decorations were up on arrival in the living area. The paths around the estate were very dark and could be done with low level lighting all around them.

Superb

Great location and hotel for overnight stay

The location is absolutely stunning. We stayed in a lodge (709) and the views across to the hotel were idyllic. The accommodation was superb, large rooms and a great place for us to stay overnight. The facilities were great also. The staff went out of their way to help and the breakfast was one of our highlights (the pancake maker was a hit!). Our 2nd time in a few months, lovely to see it with all the Christmas lights.

The swimming pool shuts at 8pm therefore check as we arrived at 7pm and were told to be out for 7.45pm. This could maybe be worded a little differently. This is our only little gripe as the rest was brilliant.

Definitely a treat

very clean, great staff. Young but customer focussed. facilities were superb. restaurant food quality was high.

restaurant pricing was very expensive for sure. over 300% mark up on the wine for example.
