Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Dehradun – Barkot – Janki Chatti

Arrive at Dehradun Airport or Haridwar Railway Station and meet our representative.
Begin your drive to Janki Chatti, the base for the Yamunotri trek, passing through Barkot.
Along the way, visit Kempty Falls in Mussoorie and enjoy the scenic views of mountain landscapes.
Janki Chatti, named after Goddess Sita, is revered as the starting point for the sacred Yamunotri journey.
Check in to your hotel upon arrival and relax for the night.

Day 2 Janki Chatti – Yamunotri – Barkot

After breakfast, embark on a 6 km trek to Yamunotri Temple. Options for palki or pony rides are available (at an extra cost).
At Yamunotri, offer prayers at Divya Shila, a sacred rock pillar, and take a dip in the nearby Surya Kund, where pilgrims cook rice as prasad in its boiling waters.
The temple, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, is considered to protect devotees from untimely death and absolve sins.
Return to Janki Chatti by trekking and drive back to Barkot for an overnight stay.

Day 3 Barkot – Gangotri

After an early breakfast, proceed to Gangotri via Uttarkashi and the beautiful Harsil Valley.
En route, visit Prakateshwar Cave, a naturally formed limestone cave considered spiritually significant.
Arrive in Gangotri and check in to your hotel. Spend the evening soaking in the serene mountain ambiance.
Gangotri is where the Ganga descended to Earth in response to King Bhagirath’s penance, purifying the souls of all who bathe in its waters.

Day 4 Gangotri Darshan

Begin the day with a visit to the Gangotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Ganga. Take a holy dip in the Bhagirathi River, believed to cleanse the soul of all sins.
Explore the nearby Pandav Gufa, where the Pandavas meditated during their journey to Kailash.
Spend the rest of the day enjoying the spiritual and natural tranquility of Gangotri.

Day 5 Gangotri – Srinagar – Guptkashi

Depart for Guptkashi via Srinagar, driving through scenic valleys and river confluences.

Day 6 Guptkashi – Gaurikund – Kedarnath

Kedarnath, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, holds great spiritual significance as the site where the Pandavas sought Lord Shiva’s forgiveness.
Attend the evening Aarti at the temple, surrounded by snow-capped peaks.

Day 7 Kedarnath – Gaurikund – Rudraprayag

Begin your day with an early darshan at Kedarnath Temple.
Trek back to Gaurikund and drive to Rudraprayag, the confluence of the Mandakini and Alaknanda rivers.
The serene riverside town is considered sacred and offers a perfect spot for reflection and prayer.

Day 8 Rudraprayag – Joshimath – Badrinath
