Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Guwahati – Transfer to Shillong
- Arrive at Guwahati Airport and drive towards Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya (approximately 3.5 hours).
- En route, stop at the picturesque Umiam Lake, a perfect spot for photography and relaxation.
- Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 2 Shillong Sightseeing & Sacred Grove
- Begin your day exploring the mystical Mawphlang Sacred Grove, a sanctuary of ancient trees considered sacred by the local Khasi people.
- Visit iconic landmarks in Shillong, such as the Don Bosco Museum, Ward's Lake, and the Shillong Golf Course.
- Enjoy a blend of tradition and modernity in the "Heartbeat of Meghalaya."
- Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 3 Tea Garden Experience
- Embark on a guided tour of Meghalaya’s lush tea plantations, learning about tea cultivation and production.

- Enjoy a traditional lunch amidst the serene beauty of the tea garden.

Day 4 Laitlum Canyons & Waterfall Hikes

Day 5 Dawki & Mawlynnong

Day 6 Cherrapunjee – The Land of Mist & Waterfalls
- Journey to Cherrapunjee, known for its heavy rainfall and dramatic landscapes.
- Visit the stunning Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest plunge waterfall in India.
- Explore the ancient Mawsmai Caves, which were formed over thousands of years by limestone deposits.
- Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee / Guwahati
Day 7 Departure to Guwahati
- After breakfast, drive back to Guwahati Airport (approximately 5 hours) for your departure.

It was such an beautiful experience spending one week at Meghalaya and final day darshan of Maa Kamakhya at Guwahati. Travelling to Meghalaya was completely new to us (7 Audults and 2 Kids). But Inder (Read More)oots Travel planned our vacation beautifully starting from pick up at Airport and ended with dropping at Guwahati Railway Station. We were completely out of worry zone and enjoyed our vacation to fullest. We need not have to bother anyone from Travel agency complaining anything during the trip. The best part was arrangement of hotels at right place making us superb comfort for our travelling and spending leisure moments. Booked Meghalaya trip for 4 days through Cat holidays. The trip was arranged well by Cat. Excellent guesthouse was booked at Guwahati. The Shillong hotel was average and there were some issues which w (Read More)e faced there. The bus arranged was good with very polite driver. Overall a very good experience and would recommend to others.
