It was here that the founder of the dynasty, Babar, laid out the first formal Persian garden on the banks of the river Yamuna Arrive Agra and check in to the hotel.
  • Visit the Taj Mahal. With its incredible lacy white grandeur and loveliness is perhaps the most perfect architectural monument in the world. Emperor Shahjahan constructed this most famous and incomparable Mughal monument in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. It is the most extravagant monument ever built for love. The Taj Mahal is amazingly graceful from almost any angle and it is the close up detail, which is really astounding. Later visit Agra Fort. It was built by the third Mughal Emperor, Akbar, and added to by his son Jehangir and grandson Shahjahan. Agra Fort is an imposing structure with walls of red sandstone, almost two miles long and contains palaces, audience halls and mosques built by all the three emperors. The fort presents a good sampling of Islamic and Hindu architectural styles.

  • Jaipur, popularly known as the Pink City, is the capital of the state of Rajasthan. The old city of Jaipur is partially encircled with seven gates - the major gates are Chandpol, Sanganer, and Ajmer. The 'pink city' label, applies specifically to the old walled quarter of the Rajasthani capital, while in the northeast of the town, glorious palaces and temples, in an assortment of styles, spanning centuries are scattered throughout the predominantly urban area. Jaipur is a tourist's delight. It is an extremely colorful city, and in the evening light, the pink and the orange buildings exude a magical glow, which the vibrantly attired Rajasthanis complement. Camel-drawn carts are characteristic of Jaipur's passing street scene.

The merging of Rajput and Mughal architectural styles is captured in the Sukh Niwas and Jas Mandir apartments, and the Charbagh garden with its perfectly proportioned landscaping. Pierced screen windows offer views from different vantage points, and shimmering mirrors encrust the walls of Sheesh Mahal.
  • Afternoon visit the Solar Observatory, which was built in the 1700s but still appears to be futuristic; the City Palace and its museum; the Hawa Mahal or the "Palace of the Winds." Gunasekaran's Trip to Jaipur

4 /5

(Written on 24 Mar, 2025)

What's Good: Sanjay and Jitendar are very accommodate to change in schedule eventhough we have added couple of changes on the road. The helped in arranging guide, who is very helpful and very i (Read More)nformative in explaining, navigating various tourist attractions in Jaipur, especially,The Amber fort, The City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Nahagarh fort. The driver is always show up on time at hotel, where we stayed. Helpful in parking and stopping busy traffic to get down and up. In general, we had pleasant time at Jaiput for the past few days. Thanks to Sanjay!
What's Not Good: First thing that came to mind, they should have offered water in the van whenever we're back from the tourist attractions. With so hot and felling thirsty then we ran out of water. It is really horrible experience. We need to stop on the way to get water to refill. Suggest to have a cooler and provide cool water upon returning. This is we found little odd. Even in Varanasi the tourist operator always ask to drink water and it is always available. This is something they need to consider as an offer to customer for the price we are paying. The selection of on-road restaurants and shopping should be more informative that suits to the customer need. Expect to provide suggestion on good shopping at Jaipur based on customer preference. We need to research and ask them to take that place, like, famous bazaar, mall for food/arts/ethinic clothing. Hope the feedback are based what we observed and if the above were met then our experience would've been exceptional.
