Arrival in Srinagar: Welcome to Srinagar, the enchanting "Lake City." Upon your arrival at Srinagar Airport, you will begin your journey with a warm welcome.
City Tour: Start with a visit to the Shankracharya Temple, which is situated on the highest hill of Srinagar, offering panoramic views of the city and Dal Lake. Following this, explore the renowned Mughal Gardens—Chashmashahi, Nishat, and Shalimar—each garden representing the Mughal Emperors' concept of paradise. These serene spots are now popular for picnics and leisure.
Handicraft Shopping: Later in the day, visit a local handicraft shop, where you can browse through and purchase exquisite handcrafted items such as shawls, jackets, bed covers, paper mache products, and carpets.
Evening Stroll: Conclude the day with a leisurely stroll along the banks of Dal Lake, soaking in the serene ambiance and exploring the vibrant local markets. Overnight stay at the hotel in Srinagar.
Journey to Sonamarg: Embark on a full-day excursion to Sonamarg, known as the 'Meadow of Gold'. Located at an altitude of 2,743 meters above sea level, Sonamarg is the last stop in Kashmir before entering the Ladakh region.
Activities in Sonamarg: The fast-flowing Sindh River makes Sonamarg popular for trout and masher fishing during the summer. For those seeking adventure, you can opt for a pony ride to one of the glaciers, where you can enjoy fun activities in the snow and ice. (Pony rides and other activities are optional and at your own expense.)
Visit to Doodhpathri: Today, you will visit Doodhpathri, a small yet stunning hill station in Kashmir. Set in a bowl-shaped alpine valley at an altitude of 2,730 meters, Doodhpathri is surrounded by snow-clad mountains and lush meadows of Pine, Fir, and Deodar.
Exploring Doodhpathri: Doodhpathri, meaning ‘Valley of Milk,’ is a name derived from the milky-white waters of the rivers and streams that flow through it. It is a captivating tourist destination, offering opportunities for horse riding, paragliding, and visiting the Shaaliganga River. (All activities are optional and at your own expense.)
Drive to Gulmarg: After breakfast, set out for Gulmarg, the 'Meadow of Flowers'. The route from Srinagar to Gulmarg is mesmerizing, with breathtaking views along the way.
Exploring Gulmarg: Gulmarg is internationally renowned for skiing and snowboarding, making it a winter sports paradise. During the British Raj, it was a popular hill resort for Europeans. In Gulmarg, you can visit the 18-hole Golf Course and the scenic Drung Valley waterfall. Snow activities, including skiing, snow skating, and the Gondola ride (Asia’s largest cable car ride), are also available. (All activities are optional and at your own expense.) Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Drive to Pahalgam: Early in the morning, depart for Pahalgam, known as the 'Valley of Shepherds'. Located at the confluence of the Lidder River and Sheeshnag Lake, Pahalgam is surrounded by breathtaking scenery.
En Route Attractions: On your way, visit the Awantipura Ruins, an ancient 1,100-year-old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, built by King Awantivarman.
Exploring Pahalgam: Once in Pahalgam, take time to enjoy the natural beauty or take a short walk to Baisaran, a charming village nestled in pine and fir forests offering splendid views. Return to your hotel in the evening for an overnight stay in Pahalgam.
Morning in Pahalgam: After breakfast, continue your exploration of Pahalgam, taking in any remaining sights or activities.
Return to Srinagar: In the afternoon, drive back to Srinagar, where you can enjoy a complimentary Shikara ride on Dal Lake. Relax and unwind during your overnight stay at a deluxe houseboat in Srinagar.
Return Journey: After breakfast at the houseboat, you will be transferred to Srinagar Airport to catch your flight back home. Depart with cherished memories of your Kashmir tour.
