Pahalgam is renowned as a prominent destination for the Indian film industry. En route, visit the Saffron Fields and Awantipur Ruins, an 1100-year-old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantivarman. Witness the beautiful countryside and lush rice fields along the way.
Upon arrival in Pahalgam, transfer to the hotel. After lunch, depart for an excursion to:
- Chandanwadi (at your own cost), the starting point of the Amarnath Yatra.
- Betaab Valley (at your own cost), located on the way to Chandanwadi.
This valley was renamed after the Bollywood movie Betaab, which was shot here. Earlier known as Hajan Valley, it was renamed after the movie’s release.
If time permits, proceed to Aru Valley (at your own cost). Aru Valley is a picturesque spot 11 km from Pahalgam, noted for its scenic meadows and mountains. It serves as a base camp for treks to the Kolahoi Glacier and Tarsar Lake. The valley lies on the left bank of the Aru River, a tributary of the Lidder River.
