Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Srinagar - Shikara Ride on Dal Lake
  • Arrive in Srinagar and transfer to Hotel.
  • The rest of the day is at leisure.
  • In the afternoon, Shikara rides on The Dal Lake to enjoy the beauty God has graced this city with, which is often compared to Venice.
  • You will get a view of some very interesting places around the Lake.
  • Overnight at Hotel.
  • After breakfast, leave for a full-day excursion for Sonamarg, situated at an altitude of 9000 Ft.
  • Sonamarg also called "The meadow of gold" has, as its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky.
  • The Sindh River that meanders through the valley abounds with trout and mahseer.
  • Ponies can be hired (at your own cost) for the trip to Thajiwas glacier, a major local attraction during the summer. Return back to Srinagar.
  • Overnight stay at Hotel.
  • After breakfast, check in to the Hotel and visit the Mughal Gardens, "Chashm-E- Shahi" (The Royal spring), "Nishat" (The Garden of Pleasure) and "Shalimar" (Abode of All).
  • Afternoon, visit Shankaracharya Temple located on a hillock, thus providing panoramic views of the city, along with views of the famous Dal Lake & River Jehlum.
  • Overnight stay at Srinagar Houseboat.
  • After breakfast, transfer to Gulmarg called 'Meadow of Flowers".
  • Gulmarg is 54 Km from Srinagar at an altitude of 8700-ft. Gulmarg, also known as Meadow of Flowers, is a famous Ski Resort & the world’s highest 18-hole Golf Course. The place was prominent during the British time.
  • You can enjoy a pony ride and the scenic view of Kongdori on a Cable Car Ride (Gandola and horse ride at your own cost).
  • Evening return back to Srinagar.
  • Overnight stay at Srinagar Houseboat.
  • This morning after breakfast, drive to Pahalgam 2440 Meters (Vale of Kashmir).
  • On arrival, check into your hotel. On the way, visit Saffron field and Avantipur ruins, an eleven hundred years old temple.
  • Pahalgam is the most famous place in the Indian Film Industry.
  • An excursion trip to places like Chandanwari, Betab Valley & Aru valley en route to the holy cave (at your own cost), thus is a preferred spot among domestic tourists.
  • Evening return back to the hotel.
  • Overnight stay at Pahalgam.
  • This morning after breakfast, drive to Katra.
  • The rest of the day is free for rest or shopping.
  • Overnight at Katra hotel.
  • This early morning start a 13 km trek by foot or alternatively take a morning 10 minutes flight by helicopter to reach Vaishno Devi Temple, have Darshan of Mata Vaishno Devi.
  • After having Prasad proceed to Bhairo Baba Temple by horse and reach the helipad by horse to fly down to Katra.
  • You can also walk down by foot to reach Katra.
  • After returning to Katra relax in the hotel.
  • Overnight at a hotel in Katra.
  • Today you will be transferred to Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
