Day 1 Arrive in Gangtok - Cable Car Ropeway Ride
  • Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport(IXB)/New Jalpaiguri Railway Station(NJP)/Tenzing Norgay Bus Terminus(Junction), transfer to Gangtok.
  • On arrival in Gangtok, check in to the hotel.
  • First enjoy a cable car ropeway ride which gives panoramic views of the city. 
  • Later head for cycling on the Silk Route.
  • The evening is free to explore the markets. 
  • Overnight stay at Gangtok.
  • After breakfast, proceed to Lachen via Chungthang.
  • On arrival in Lachen, check in to the hotel.
  • Visit Handicraft Centre and The Angora Rabbit Farm for shopping and admire the unique handicrafts. 
  • In the evening, take a stroll and visit the Lepcha Village.
  • Overnight stay at Lachen.
  • After breakfast, visit Gurudongmar Lake (optional tour Rs. 3500 - 4000 /extra).
  • Next drive through the cold desert till Tibet/China.
  • Return to the hotel for lunch.
  • After lunch, drive to Lachung.
  • On arrival in Lachung, check in to the hotel.

I liked the stay and travel in Gangtok and Pelling...will recommend for beautiful stays and well planned itineraries! I didn't like the stay in Darjeeling...Darjeeling is not for tourists anymore as (Read More)it is very dirty and congested with traffic jams galore...not worth spending money on!
