Precautions and Measures
The decision to kick-start tourism was taken during the cabinet meeting. It was also decided that 250 hotels can resume its services keeping with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) decided by the state government."We have decided to allow domestic travelers to enter Goa from July 2 onwards provided they comply with certain norms," said the tourism minister.
Here's what you need to know before heading to Goa-
- Hotels (permitted by the tourism department only) have to be booked well in advance of a visit.
- One should get a Covid-19 negative certificate before heading to the state.
- Or else, tourists can get tested at the border and undergo quarantine in the state-run facilities until a report is handed over.
- Those who are tested positive at the border are offered a provision to either head home or reside in the state for treatment.
