IRCTC, A subsidiary of India Railway is introducing a Pay-on-Delivery option for the purchase of train ticket. This service called 'On-delivery' will be available in over 600 cities. The tickets will have to be booked at least 3-5 days in advance. Users will have to provide their Aadhar or PAN Card number during the registration to avail this facility.
Any case of fraud will be recorded by CIBIL making it difficult for them to take loans in future. A service charge of INR 90 will be levied on tickets amounting to less that INR 5,000 and a charge of INR 125 on tickets that cost more than INR 5,000.
