The Vande Bharat Express' earlier version was launched on Delhi-Varanasi route. The new version will cut travel time by four hours as the distance covered between Delhi and Katra would be 8 hours instead of the usual 12. The last stop of the Vande Bharat train is Vaishno Devi Temple.
Vinod Kumar Yadav, the chairman of the Railway Board, said, "All trials have been completed for the Vande Bharat Express, and it's ready to run October onwards." This announcement is the fraction of the larger plan being introduced. High-speed Vande Bharat trains are expected shortly. The chairman of the Railway Board declared that over 40 new trains would be launched on the Delhi-Varanasi route by 2022.

The new Vande Bharat express will be more spacious, accommodating sleeper coaches, and is also set to be energy-efficient. Delhi-Katra express is also set to update to a larger pantry and comfortable seats.

The other rail lines operating between Jammu and significant cities are Swaraj Express (12472) and Vivek Express (19028) from Mumbai, Shalimar Express (14645) and Shri Shakti Express (22461) from Delhi, and Svdk Suvidha Express (22679) from Bengaluru.
Soon travelling will be more accessible to Vaishnodevi with the revamped Vande Bharat Express.
