Adelaide Botanical Garden, Adelaide Overview

The Adelaide Botanical Garden spans 50 hectares and is a public garden located in Adelaide Park Lands in South Australia. It features beautifully landscaped gardens, stunning architecture, historic buildings and a museum. There are several eating options, entry is free and there is a tram stop at the garden. You can enjoy some of the country’s finest plant collections here across 11 different gardens. The gardens include a beautiful Dahlia Garden, Cactus and Succulent Garden, Garden of Health, and International Rose Garden among others. You can also visit the First Creek Wetland and Australian Forest.

Things to do include visiting the Santos Museum of Economic Beauty, Bicentennial Conservatory, Amazon Waterlily Pavilion, Schumburgk Pavilion and the Simpson Shadehouse. You can also visit the Palm House which is a restored Victorian Glasshouse and houses a beautiful collection of plants from Madagascar. The Gardens also host events for all ages and you can check their What’s On page. You can enjoy a casual meal at Café Fibonacci or Simpson Kiosk or opt for a fine dining experience at the Botanic Garden Restaurant. You can also visit the Diggers shop and they offer a wide range of gardening tools, seeds and books.
