Souk El Had, Agadir Overview
Souk El Had is the largest market area in Morocco, with over 6,000 stalls. Though vast, it is well organised, with 12 different gates to access the souk, thus making it easy to navigate. At gate five, fresh fruits, vegetables, spices and Moroccan goods are sold. Accessories, bags and leather items are at gate six. Gates eight and nine sell souvenirs and jewellery made of gold and silver. For furniture and books, gate eleven has it all.
Tour guides can be found near gate ten, who provide a 2 hours tour around the souk. There is also an eatery in the market itself, with seafood snacks and authentic Moroccan dishes.
