The palace was built in 1937 and was the residence of founder of the Emirates, Late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan up until 1966. It shows the daily life of the as it was his residence. The structure is environmentally friendly due to its mud bricks and construction techniques also portraying a modern and traditional Bedouin style architecture.
When visitng the museum, one can tour the grounds, imagining how the royals used to live over 80 years ago as you visit their rooms decorated with traditional majlis seating and stroll narrow hallways.
