Karmarkar Museum, Alibaug Overview
Displaying the life works of Padmashree VP Karmarkar, the Karmarkar Museum exhibits 150+ carved sculptures. Located 18km away from Alibaug in Bodani, the museum holds statues of different sizes, weights and structures. Late VP Karmarkar, has sculpted his granddaughter Suman at various stages of her life and some of the other notable sculptures include Hira Kolin and Shankhdhwani. The artworks and carvings date back to the 20th century, and hence it’s a great place for art students and enthusiasts.
