Medeu Cable Car

The Medeu cable car, spanning 4.5 kilometers, connects the iconic Medeu sports complex to the popular Shymbulak ski resort. The cable car journey offers breathtaking views of the Medeu Gorge, with its snow-capped mountains and pristine natural surroundings. In just 15 minutes, visitors are transported to the ski slopes, reaching an altitude of nearly 3,000 meters, where the snow remains year-round.

You can choose from different ticket packages to access the three stations along the route, including the unique Gondola 360 option, featuring a blue glass-bottom gondola for a more immersive view. Shops and restaurants are located at the first station, offering refreshments and local cuisine before continuing the ascent. These tickets can be purchased online from the Shymbulak Ski resort’s website. The gondola ride is not only a scenic experience but also an essential route to Shymbulak, especially when road access is cut off due to avalanches or mudslides.
