The Dead Sea is a salt lake in the Jordan Rift valley. It is known for its 34% salt concentration which provides so much buoyancy that it is impossible to sink in its waters. It is a very popular location for quick swimming or floating. Some animals like the ibexes can be spotted here. The salt and mud of the Dead Sea are very therapeutic
The Dead Sea Panorama Complex is located nearby and is filled with interesting facts about the Dead Sea and its history. Many facilities are available such as restaurants, lounge chairs, an amusement park, basketball courts, freshwater stalls, changing rooms and towels for hire. You can also visit the Herodus Spring area, about 10 km from the resort strip, to float in the Dead Sea.
Tips : Do not stay for longer than 20 minutes in the water
Do not splash around as you may end up with salt in your eyes
