Electric Ladyland Amsterdam is the only art museum of its kind that features fluorescent minerals from all over the globe. The museum is snuggled downstairs from the Electric Lady Art Gallery and is only a 5-minute walk from the Anne Frank House and the Wester Kerk.
It is entirely dedicated to the phenomenon of Fluorescence. The Electric Ladyland, founded in 1987, is the foremost museum of Fluorescent Art that hosts a huge room of Fluorescent Environment for the visitor. Once entering, the visitors experience Participatory Art. Remarkably, Participatory Art is where you will be participating in forming a piece of art, so for the duration of your visit, you will be a part of the Art piece. The museum's guided tours involve demonstrations of sweeping collections of Fluorescent Minerals from across the world. The common gray stones burst into gleaming colors when observed under UV rays of different wavelengths. There are early Fluorescent artifacts from 1915 and Fluorescent Mineral Artwork from the 1950s on exhibit, and these wonders of nature never fail to astonish visitors.
