It contains the work of some of the most famous modern artists in the world and holds over 90,000 works, including paintings, sculptures, photography, graphic design, and furniture. Opened first in 1895, the Stadelijk museum houses extraordinary works by 20th and 21st century artists such as Mondrian, Pablo Picasso, De Kooning, Matisse and many others.
