Heydar Aliyev Centre

The Heydar Aliyev Centre is an architectural marvel renowned for its futuristic and flowing design, characterized by curvilinear forms and no sharp angles or corners. As a cultural complex, Heydar Aliyev Centre hosts a diverse range of exhibitions, events, and performances, providing visitors with an opportunity to explore Azerbaijani and international art, history, and cultural expressions.

Named after Heydar Aliyev, the third President of Azerbaijan, the centre serves as a cultural complex and includes exhibition spaces, a museum, an auditorium, and administrative offices. 

The building was designed by the most popular lady architect Zaha Hadid and completed in 2012. The interior of the Heydar Aliyev Centre is known for its expansive, column-free spaces that provide flexibility for various events and exhibitions.

The Heydar Aliyev Centre is considered a masterpiece of contemporary architecture, winning numerous awards for its innovative and boundary-pushing design.
