Located in Singaraja in Buleleng, Gedong Kirtya Museum is home to some beautiful historical marvels- from palm leaf manuscripts to metal transcriptions. Established in 1928 by Dutch scholars, the library's collection of books include those on homoeopathy and black magic. A trove of Balinese culture and customs, this place will certainly delight history buffs.
Gedong Kirtya Museum is especially known for the dried palm leaf manuscripts, or ' lontar', that are kept as part of their exhibition. Books, in the form of words inscribed into copper plates, alongside early 18th-century Dutch publications can also be found at the library.
