Once a sleepy fishing village, Jimbaran is now a small part of Bali known for its clean beaches, fresh seafood and beautiful sunset views. Located just 8 kms from Ngurah Rai Airport, Jimbaran is a popular tourist haven due to its proximity to the airport and also because it connects the larger mainland of Bali to the regions of Uluwatu, Nusa Dua and more.
Jimbaran is home to many swanky villas, luxury hotels, and resorts, with several directly being beachfront properties. With the dearth of cheap accommodation, one is likely to avoid bumping into backpackers or large young crowds during most of the day. Although being an excellent beginner to intermediate surf spot among other water sports also on offer, it does draw in enthusiasts during the better part of most days.
There isn’t much in terms of nightlife in Jimbaran. However, in the evenings, one can choose to enjoy a drink while reclining from a hammock and watching the sunset. The next best thing to surely not miss would be to have the fresh catch of the day grilled right in front of them. Tourists can even pay by weight for whichever seafood they fancy.
