Bali is blessed with numerous amazing tourism spots and is the main tourist destination of Indonesia. Likely, the northern part of Bali has this treasure of a waterfall named Les waterfall which is located in Les Village in Buleleng. It offers scenic beauty and a revitalizing experience for visitors who are also rewarded by the chilled water of the falls in the humid weather of Bali. So one can jump right in and enjoy a refreshing dip in the waterfall pool. From the ticket counter, one has to make a short trek of 1 km to reach the 30-m high waterfalls.
Since it is located in an area which is a little challenging to reach, less number of tourists come by every now and then and those who do come by, enjoy a very tranquil and uncrowded visit to the falls. The walkway isn’t steep so the journey is comfortable and pleasant because of all the surrounding fragrant fruit trees and lovely chirping of birds. One will see a couple of signs from the main road through Tejakula giving direction towards the waterfall entry area.
On the road up to the hill one will come across many shops for buying refreshments like soft drinks, beer, snacks and water. Between Amed and Singaraja, it is about 2.5 km away from the waterfall entrance. After paying an entry fee of about 10,000 IDR per person, there is a further distance of about 1-1.5 kilometres to be covered to reach the Les waterfall. On the way back, one can simply hire a scooter since scooter rides are offered at the entrance for dropping visitors back.
People staying in the nearby hotels like Tambok Spa Villa, often opt to take a bicycle ride to reach the waterfalls since the path is extremely pleasant and green with many interesting fruit plants and trees. The hike after reaching the ticket counter is simply lovely but one is highly advised to wear shoes with good group, because of the slippery rocks on the way. There are also a lot of houses and Warungs(small Indonesian restaurants ) in the route.
One of the houses has a Yoga Shala located just in front of it. Considering the natural ambience of the area, it is a perfect place to breathe in some fresh air while enjoying Yoga. As mentioned earlier, there are small vendors selling refreshments but they aren’t located just next to the waterfall area, they are rather at a distance.
Warung Pesisi Air Sanih is a restaurant located 6 km away from the falls and is famous for selling high-quality seafood while Warung Tomat located at a distance of about 14 km from the falls, serves great Pizza. Air Sunny restaurant and Sekumpul restaurant are located at distances less than 10 km and can be considered for a meal after an exhilarating day.
