Medigeshi Fort, Bangalore Overview
Situated at a distance of 100 kms from Bangalore, Medigeshi Fort can be reached through a trek along Madhugiri Betta. Divided into three sections- the base of the fort, a middle lake and garden and high perched fortifications, the fort remains especially packed during weekends. The local tribal chief's wife had hair to her ankles (Medi - ankle and Kesha - hair). The Fort is named after her.
