The Museum of Art and Photography (MAP) is a private museum in Bengaluru, India, that was founded by industrialist Abhishek Poddar in 2016 as a digital platform to make his collection of art, photography, and textiles available to the public. The museum is spread across 5 floors, and its collection comprises over 60,000 artworks, including paintings, sculptures, photographs, and textiles.
The museum has since launched educational ventures in collaboration with notable international museums and tech giants. MAP is set to open its physical space in February 2023, with an extensive library, a multimedia gallery, a 130-seat auditorium, a technology center, a sculpture courtyard, a research and conservation laboratory, a learning center, a gift store, a café, and a fine-dining restaurant on the lower ground floor making it a popular destination for art lovers and visitors alike. The museum's mission is to democratize art and enhance the museum-going experience for the country by taking art into the heart of the community.
