Border Triangle Basel

Located in the middle of the river Rhine is a monument known as the Border Triangle. It is the place where Germany, France, and Switzerland converge. It signifies the coming together of three different languages and cultures. It offers visitors an opportunity to visit three countries simultaneously!

This is also the place from where boats sail off towards the North Sea. It is crucial for the supply of raw materials to Switzerland. It also holds historical importance in the friendship of the three countries as this building is the result of an architectural competition to which Swiss, German, and French architects were invited in 1990. 

On the ground floor of the building is a “sand oasis” consisting of palm trees, which gives the visitors the experience of being at a beach. One can relax here while relishing drinks from the cocktail bar. The first floor has a bar and an event room. It also has a terrace where one can witness the picturesque beauty of the Rhine.
