Sammaki Art Space History & Significance
Sammaki translates to Unity in the local Khmer language. Established by a group of local artists in 2011, Sammaki focuses on nurturing and supporting local as well as global artists. The studio offers residency programs for artists, curators and researchers every year. Also, temporary exhibitions, workshops, artist talks, and screenings happen periodically, all of which are open to the public.

Sammaki Artspace is located 30 minutes away from Battambang downtown. You can reach there by hiring a shared Tuk Tuk for about 3 USD for a round trip or by renting a motorbike costing 5 USD per day.
