Tsikhisdziri Beach is a quiet and serene beach located in Tsikhisdziri village. You can take a short drive to Tsikhisdziri from Batumi via a private cab or local bus. To reach the beach area, you can hike through village trails by following a map or asking the local people around to guide you. The beach has a camping area as well where you can set up tents and barbecues. It is advised to wear appropriate footwear as the shore has small pebbles that can make walking a bit uncomfortable.
The water near the shore is quite deep, making the southern Tsikhisdziri appealing to people who like to dive. The beach doesn’t offer any shacks or bars but it is a great spot to enjoy the sea breeze and mountain air in a less crowded place. When visiting the beach, you can also visit the nearby Petra Fortress. This fortress, built in the 6th century, has a unique design with terraces and corridors shaped like a ladder.
