Sursock Museum, officially known as Nicolas Ibrahim Sursock Museum, is a modern art and contemporary museum located in Rmeil district of Beirut. The collections housed here display the city’s development spanning over 160 years. Over 800 artworks, including modern art, Japanese engravings and Islamic art, make up the permanent collections.
Visitors can explore paintings, sculptures and graphic arts from the 19th and 20th centuries. Some Lebanese and international artists whose works are displayed include Chafic Abboud, Juliana Seraphim and Paul Guiragossian. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions. In addition, there is a research library, an auditorium, a restaurant and a store.
