Germany's oldest zoological garden, the Berlin Zoo is one of the landmarks in the capital city. On the southwest corner of the Tiergarten, this zoo is known to have the most comprehensive species of animals. It is an ideal family day out.
This zoo is quite large and well kept, with special attention given to create the urban habitats for each animal. The zoo has two entrances - Lion Gate and Elephant Gate. Complete with a playground, restaurants and coffee shops, its the ideal place for a family day out.
