Einstein House, Bern Overview

The Einstein House, or Einsteinhaus, is located at Kramgasse 49 in Bern's Old City, approximately 200 meters from the Zytglogge clock tower. Albert Einstein resided here from 1903 to 1905, during which he developed his groundbreaking Theory of Relativity. The museum offers insight into Einstein's life and work during his time in Bern.

Visitors can explore the second-floor apartment, furnished to reflect the early 20th-century setting where Einstein lived with his wife, Mileva Marić, and their son, Hans. The third floor features exhibits detailing Einstein's biography and scientific contributions. The museum is compact, and a typical visit lasts about 30 minutes. Some reviews note that the museum only accepts cash payments, so it's advisable to have Swiss francs on hand.
