View PackagesThis quiet town in Sri Lanka is welcoming tourists all-round the year. The temperature varies between 26°C and 30°C during the hotter part of the year. Being a coastal town, it is subject to humidity; January being the least humid and November being the wettest month. Sri Lanka as such hosts a tonne of tourists of all nationalities during December as Christmas and New years are touted to be magical in this land down South. However, June – July sees the least number of tourists and is relatively more suitable for the pockets. Since the seas are shallow, they encourage swimming along the shores during all months, except October – November when the rains arrive. Fishing is their source of livelihood that takes place actively throughout the year and stilt-fishing their traditional way is quite an interesting one. Ceylon tea is a Sri Lankan speciality and does good on the warm days and cosy nights as the temperature drops!
