The Bodrum Museum Of Underwater Archaeology is one of the largest underwater archaeology museums in the world. Located inside Bodrum Castle, the recently renovated air-conditioned museum displays a variety of exhibits featuring recovered underwater archaeological artefacts. The exhibition's highlight is a 2nd-century Byzantine ship, which holds the world's oldest shipwreck title.
An exquisite collection of blue and other amphoras, Egyptian seals, utensils, royal jewellery, and more are on display across the museum. The renowned museum also houses five ancient shipwrecks and ship cargo dating back to 3 BC. The glass hall exhibits precious glassware and houses an aquarium. All the exhibits are accompanied by vibrant and informative audio-visual highlights. The Bodrum Castle and Bodrum Bazar are popular attractions near the museum.
