The Burg Square is a former fortress of Bruges. Being one of the primary squares in the city, the Square brings to you 2nd-century medieval buildings. The Square leads to gorgeous Gothic-style statues, biblical figures, and authentic facades. With the Grand Place, iconic museums, galleries, and eateries, it is a wholesome place to be in.
The most prominent building of the city is the Townhall or the Stadhuis, where the city was governed, for over 600 years. Right next to Stadhuis, is the Old Civil Registry which was once the courthouse. Tucked in another corner of the square is The Basilica of the Holy Blood, a Roman Catholic church in Bruges.
