Agro Technology Park in MARDI is a government-owned agro research centre and institute which also doubles up a tourist destination. Located at Tanah Rata, it is famous for its cultivation of tropical fruits and is a very interesting place for those who want to try something new in terms of food and also learn about Malaysian agriculture.

Spread over 42 hectares, Agro Technology Park in MARDI was first opened in 1990 and is run and managed by the government only. It is famous for its more than 4000 varieties of flowers and fruits like strawberries, etc. some of which are indigenous to the place itself.

The Agro Technology Park offers tourists with a Fruit Farm Tour which is fully guided by the expert. Tourists can experience a bumpy truck drive to the farms where they are offered the fresh, tropical fruits to taste and are also explained about how they were grown and cultivated.

How to Reach Agro Technology Park MARDI

Agro Technology Park is located near the Lubuk Semilang Recreational Park which is in Padang Matsirat. It is 9 kilometers from the airport and 12 kilometers from the town of Kuah.

As there are no public buses available to reach there, one can either hire a cab or drive a rented car to the Agro Technology Park themselves. One can also depend on the common city shuttle service but it may take up a lot of time and can be booked through taxi services.
