Llandudno Beach

The Llandudno Beach is a quiet and undisturbed beach located in the suburbs of Cape Town. With no street lights, shops or restaurants, this beach is for those who enjoy the tranquillity of untouched natural surroundings. Surrounded by granite boulders that overlook the mountains, the beach is well-known for surfing.

The Llandudno Beach is perfect for rolling out your mats and lazing. Pack your own lunch, enjoy building sand castles and soak in the pristine views. There are lifeguards on duty, especially during the summers. The waters are usually cold and thus not many people venture into the waters for a swim. An early start helps as the car parking can get a little crowded later in the day. There are locals selling water, soda, sunbeds and umbrellas. Besides, a view of the sunset is highly recommended. The Llandudno Beach is also from where one can access the walking point towards Sandy Bay, a desolate beach that the nudists prefer. Interestingly, Llandudno Beach is named after the North Wales resort of Llandudno because of the similarities between the two.
