Stellenbosch

Stellenbosch is a vibrant town in Western Cape and also the second oldest town in South Africa. It is known for its splendid beauty, culture, art, and most importantly, its wine and wine cellars. It is also called the City of Oaks or Eikestad because of the many oak trees that are found in the town.

Many wine routes and tasting tours are available in Stellenbosch and one can explore the different estates and wine farms. Some tours include hiking and cycling while winding towards the vineyards. Besides, there are several stay resorts, hotels, restaurants, shopping stores and art galleries to visit. Stellenbosch is also a hub of learning with the Stellenbosch University and museums and libraries to explore. The Braak is the most popular open ground, apart from several other parks and gardens that dot the town’s landscape. Some of the other town attractions include, the historic shop Oom Samie se Winkel, Moederkerk Church, the distinct architectural homes in the town’s center etc.
