Tatlarin

Tatlarin is primarily popular for Tatlarin Underground city. It is situated near the town of Nevsehir. This underground city with cave establishments is noted for its extensive and well-preserved chambers, large halls, and the presence of toilets, which are rare in such ancient subterranean structures. Near the entrance of the underground city, there is a church adorned with religious murals.

The entrance to the city is through a 15-meter-long passageway leading to a large hall, secured by a sliding stone door that could only be opened from the inside. This clever design was used to protect the inhabitants from invaders and wild animals. The city includes two spacious halls connected by a zigzag corridor equipped with a trap and another sliding stone door to deter intruders. There are five carved storage areas in the floors

The site is accessible by road from Nevşehir, and local tour operators often include it in their Cappadocia itineraries. The nearest major transportation hub is Nevşehir Kapadokya Airport
