The Fateh Burj is located in Mohali, Punjab. Fateh Burj means Victory Tower and also the tallest tower in India. It was built in 2011 situated in Baba Banda Bahadur War Memorial in a 20 acres plot. It has a historical significance with the battle of Chappar Chiri between Baba Banda Bahadur Singh against Mughal emperor Wazir Khan. While entering the war memorial, you will find the Fateh Burj which has a height of 328 feet.
The openings and windows of the tower are made in a triangular shape that symbolizes the opening that was previously used by the army to place cannons and guns. Its structure has an octagonal shape divided into three sections that can easily withstand the high pressure of the wind. During the evening, the minar looks magnificent with soothing and classy lighting. Along with that, the minar is surrounded by an artificial pond and green landscape.
The design of the war memorial is a small replica of Chappar Chiri with small artificial hilltops. Statues of Baba Banda Bahadur Singh and other warriors are placed on every hilltop. Beneath those statues, they have halls and rooms that contain a museum to provide information about the past. On the top of the minar, you will observe a dome is kept which signifies the Sikh culture.
