Brühl Castle, Cologne Overview

The Brühl Palaces, comprising Augustusburg Palace and Falkenlust Hunting Lodge, are located in Brühl. These 18th-century Baroque and Rococo masterpieces are recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Visitors can explore the opulent interiors, including the grand staircase designed by Balthasar Neumann, and stroll through the meticulously landscaped gardens.

Guided tours are mandatory for interior visits and are primarily conducted in German, with audio guides available in multiple languages. To reach the palaces, take the regional train (RB 48, RE 5) or the MittelrheinBahn (MRB 26) to Brühl station, followed by a five-minute walk to Augustusburg Palace. Alternatively, tram line 18 from Cologne or Bonn to Brühl-Mitte, then an 800-meter walk, is an option.
