New Kathiresan Temple, Colombo Overview

It is the largest temple in Colombo with three temples in the compound. Divided into Old and New Kathiresan Temple, it was built in 1830. The New Kathiresan Temple is dedicated to Skanda or Murugan who is locally revered as the war god.
