St. Peter's Church
St. Peter's Church, Colombo Overview
Situated in 26 church street, Colombo Fort St. Peter's church was constructed in 22 May 1821 Colombo Fort. It is considered as one of the oldest functioning churches in Sri Lanka.
During the civil war in Sri Lanka access to the church was highly restricted due to its location directly opposite Colombo harbour. The church has its own cemetery with several monuments, tombs and plaques.
