Sculpture Tunnel, Dalat Overview

Da Lat’s Clay Tunnel is a series of basalt and dark red clay structures representing significant milestones and important buildings from Da Lat’s past and present. There is a massive dragon at the entrance of the roofless trench. Infinity Lake at the end of the tunnel is the main draw of the attraction, which has become a famous photo spot thanks to Instagram.

The attraction starts with structures of natural scenery and animals like elephants, giraffes, monkeys, snakes, crocodiles, etc., followed by recreations of trains, gardens, churches, vehicles, and magnified versions of objects of everyday use. In contrast to the magnification, next comes miniature models of Vietnamese houses and some landmarks such as Lang Biang Mountain, the Chicken Church, Truc Lam Zen Monastery, and more. The tunnel ends at Infinity Lake, a serene artificial waterbody with two colossal structures of human faces looking at each other. The project is owned and architected by a Ho Minh City businessman Trinh Ba Dung. You can reach the faces by climbing the steps to the lake's center. There are coffee shops, a few small restaurants, and souvenir stores within the premises as well.

Must Know Before You Visit Sculpture Tunnel

Additional Information :

  • Since Clay Tunnel is an entirely open area and the clay structures radiate a lot of heat, try to avoid going on a very sunny day. Carry an umbrella with you.
  • You should expect a queue to take pictures by the stone that will put you in the middle of the two faces at Infinity Lake.
