Dedicated to Shirdi Sai Baba, the Sai Darbar Temple in Dehradun is situated along Rajpur Road. It is frequented by a plethora of devotees who come to pay their tribute to Sai Baba by offering chadars, flowers and sweets, and to attend the aarti organised every evening.
Set amidst the peaceful mountains, Sai Temple is admired for its marble structure which is adorned with several colourful glass paintings. It also houses an idol of Sai Baba. Other paintings and idols housed within the temple include that of Lord Shiva, Goddess Durga, Goddess Kali and Hanuman. Thursday, which is considered to be the day of Sai Baba, witnesses a greater influx of devotees who come to attend the aarti and also for the bhandar that is organised where they are offered prasad. Moreover, people often host a feast or bhandar at the temple if their wishes come true upon praying here.
