​The Santala Devi Temple is a revered Hindu shrine located in Dehradun city, Uttarakhand. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Santala Devi, believed to be an incarnation of Goddess Durga. According to legend, during a period of Mughal invasions, Princess Santala and her brother sought refuge in the region. Facing imminent capture, they chose to abandon their weapons and pray for divine intervention. In response, a divine light is said to have transformed them into stone idols, safeguarding their honor. This miraculous event is commemorated at the site where the temple now stands. ​
