To explore the real beauty of Dehradun, try walking around this compact town instead of hiring a cab or going by bus. A walk through this town requires approximately half an hour. If you are a bookwo (Read More)rm, then make sure to visit Book World and The English Book Depot. Although the places near Dehradun such as Haridwar and Rishikesh are dry, you will find several bars here. If you are looking for satisfactory hotels, try looking around Rajpur Road. There is no dearth of food joints and apart from local cuisine, you can also find Pizza Hut, McDonald's, Maggi Point and Cafe Coffee Day here. Once here, do visit Haridwar, Mussoorie and Rishikesh.

One of the underrated destinations of India, Dehradun is a beautiful place and an escape from reality with a soft spot for nature lovers like myself. This first week of April, I went to Dehradun for (Read More)the second time with my friends and it was just picture perfect. The weather was cool enough to provide relief from the sizzling heat of Delhi and act as a natural air conditioner. This is one of the places where I could just chill and hang out with my friends by the lake instead of visiting a million spots. The only place we visited was the Forest Research Institute and we're actually glad because it was THE place for the nature lovers, science geeks and for bomb instagrams if I say so myself. Since we were on a budget -like all students usually are- we chose to live in cabins for about 4-5 days and the whole trip cost us under 5K per person! May I say perfect?

Dehradun is a traveller?s delight for a number of reasons. Start with Buddha temple and Sahastra Dhara and have lunch at the cafes around. Put aside some hours to explore the famous Forest Research I (Read More)nstitute. Shop at Paltan Bazar and enjoy the delicacies at Kumar Sweet after seeing the Clock Tower. The Ellora?s Bakery and the Riverstone Cottages are also a good option to treat your palate. March-June is the busiest period here.

The water in Fun Valley is not very clean and is muddy at places. Make sure to take care of your belongings. Food is available within the premises itself. There are also places of stay within Fun Val (Read More)ley, so if you want you can stay here for the night. However, the hotels and guest houses are definitely cheaper in other areas of Dehradun. Both water and non-water rides are available. There is also a 5-D theatre. It is advisable to carry your own swimsuit if you do not wish to pay an additional amount for hiring or purchasing one. If your team consists of kids, then be certain that they are going to have a great time here.

First of all you go to Mussoorie where you can stay for one or two days. After that you go to rishikesh. The total distance between Haridwar and Rishikesh Haridwar is 41 kilometers. So you can tak (Read More)e the room anywhere. If you take a room in Rishikesh, you will not be able to go to Haridwar night.
