Safa Park, Dubai Overview

Located in the centre of the city, Safa Park was built in the year 1975 in Dubai, UAE. It is one of the oldest and popular parks in the town and is owned by the municipality. The park is unique on its own and is the first to be named after its surroundings and atmosphere. The Al Safa Park has been named due to its quietness and calm ambience which prevails all over.

The park shares its borders with the Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Wasl Road and the Al Hadiqa Street. The large pleasant park houses three parks in the compound and over 200 species of birds and more than 17 thousand varieties of trees and bushes. The park is full of green lawns, and a little forest in the vicinity is perfect for small getaways and picnics on the weekends. You can take your food and barbeques and enjoy the beautiful views of waterfalls, fountains and the hill!

Things to Do in Safa Park

1. Kids can spend hours exploring the multiple playgrounds around the park.
2. Go Boating on the boating lake.
3. Ride a bicycle around the park. Bicycle rental facilities are also available.
4. Have a blast at the amusement arcade of the park with rides like carousel rides, bumper car rides and mini train rides. You can also play video games while in the Safa park!

It instils a feeling of public spirit as people from all walks of life come to trade, buy and sell goods at low prices. It is the most popular event in Dubai and was first started in the year 2008.

2. Organic Friday Market: It is a great platform to buy fresh-organic food, fruits and vegetables.
