The Third Line is one of the most famous and oldest art galleries in Alserkal Avenue, Dubai. The art gallery is a perfect epitome of local, regional and international artwork and artists and also is a host to several exhibitions and displays. Apart from the exhibits, the gallery also has an audio/visual room, a library and a book store.
Set across on a land of 83002 feet, the art gallery is set in a warehouse and is a two-storeyed gallery. The Third Line was founded in the year 2005 and provides a welcoming platform to all established as well as amateur artists and unites people from different regions and ages under one roof. It is a perfect representation of contemporary middle eastern artwork in a special non-profit gallery which hosts programs and fundraisers to increase interest and dialogue amongst people of all nationalities. It organises exhibitions and also sells art publications in English and Arabic languages. It is also famous for different forms of art, music, films and literature material.
Several prominent artists belonging to different nations are exhibitors and presenters at this gallery. Artists like Abbas Akhavan, Farah Al Qasim, Hassan Hajaj, Sara Naim, Rana Begum and Youssef Nabil are the major contributors. The gallery also presents certain famous art-based books and catalogues like the space between, Virgin with a memory, Friendship of nations, Cosmic geometry, Mirror garden, Youssef Nabil and on war and love.
