Stradun, Dubrovnik Overview
The main street in Dubrovnik is the Stradun. It divides the old town into two equal parts and is also the social and cultural hotspot of the town. The streets have been fully pedestrianized for over half a century and lined on both sides by beautiful and welcoming shops, restaurants, cafes, and bars.
The street is literally unmissable not just because all the routes lead up to it but also because the crowd does as well. The best way to soak in the ambience is to walk down the streets exploring the shops flanking the corners sipping a coffee or whatever drink you fancy. Many people simply sit by the stairs of the Sveti Vlaho Church or Orlando’s column to enjoy the street views. The best view of the street and the neighbouring area from atop is offered by the top of the Dubrovnik town walls.
