Van Gogh Path is a 600-metre luminescent bicycle path that glows at night, put together from thousands of sparkling stones inspired by Vincent Van Gogh’s Starry Night. It aims to develop efficient roads using lights, and energy, thus enhancing public safety and local tourism.
The Van Gogh Path is situated in Eindhoven and Nuenen, the Netherlands and was designed by Daan Roosegaarde. The public art project was initiated just in time to commemorate the 125th death anniversary of Vincent Van Gogh who spent a part of his life in the area. It was started on 12th November 2014. Van Gogh's Path honours this cultural heritage and connects it with innovation.
